Smoke? Clouds? What?
You may be wondering just what in the heck this little blog is all about. On the other hand, maybe you aren’t. I’m going to tell you anyway, so buckle up buttercup.
I’ve been fortunate enough to maintain a career in Information Technology for nearly 20 years now. One of the many aspects of this line of work that not many tell you is that it sometimes feels like you never left college; every year you’re learning some new whiz-bang way to essentially do the same shit you’ve always done...but now it has a cool new marketing buzzword (eg: cloud) and a script language to learn!

Document the silly things that happen in IT, what I’m studying, certifications to gain, etc.
At a certain point about 5 years ago, I started getting into the wonderful world of low and slow BBQ - also known as “cooking with smoke.” It’s since become my main hobby, mostly because of the challenge involved (those challenges will surely be brought up and expanded upon in future posts) and that you get to eat the end results! Can’t go wrong with that, and even if it’s not your best rack of ribs...it’s still BBQ.

Post my recipes, methods, things I’ve learned about a particular cut of meat or aspect of my smoker, etc.
